The Dillon Garden is located in Ranelagh, a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. The exact location is shown in the map below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Dillon Garden is at 45 SANDFORD Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 6, and NOT in SANDYFORD, which is an area much further to the South of Dublin.

There are many possible ways to reach the Dillon Garden:

BY CAR:
Coming from Dublin City Centre, drive along Morehampton Road onto Donnybrook Road into Donnybrook village. Keep going until you get to a junction with Donnybrook church on the left and the Dublin Bus depot on the right. Take the SECOND turn right (the road that has the entrance to the bus depot). Do NOT drive up EGLINTON ROAD as there is now no right-turn onto Sandford Road.

Drive until you reach the traffic lights, where you turn right onto Sandford Road. There is a sharp bend in the road, with Clonskeagh Hospital on the left. Keep driving until just past the Esso garage on the right. The garden is on the left hand side of the road, behind a stand of trees. It is signposted from the road with a brown, "tourist attraction" signpost.

BY BUS:
The garden is directly serviced by the 11, 11A and 11B buses (Dublin Bus) which stop right outside the door. The 46, 46A, 46B, 10 and 84 go through Donnybrook. From there, The Dillon Garden is a 15 minute walk up Eglinton Road.

BY LUAS:
If travelling to the Dillon Garden using Luas - Dublin's new tram system - get off at Ranelagh station (the third stop travelling from St. Stephen's Green). Exit the station and turn right. Continue straight down Sandford Road for approximately 3/4 of a mile. The garden is on the right, just after the small church and entrance to Gonzaga College.

BY TRAIN:
It is also possible to take the DART to Sydney Parade from where the Dillon Garden is a 30-40 minute walk.
